Why We Do It
MIRTH started as one girl’s delicious dream of creating a space filled with good things to eat and making people happy. Now, it has evolved into a shared vision as we all strive to make our guests feel welcomed and cared for.
Our delicious sensibilities guide us to cook with the seasons and to source the best ingredients possible; we even have a little garden where we grow pretty garnishes. We believe in supporting local purveyors, and you can often catch us at the farmers’ market.
Beyond the kitchen, supporting and being part of our community is central to our pursuit of mirth. We believe that no one should go hungry, especially in a place called MIRTH. That’s why we remain open fifteen minutes past closing for those needing a helping hand. We offer free food without question, judgment, or shame—because it takes a village, and we’re all villagers.
